The CER has today (21st March 2013) published a final decision paper in relation to the fees chargeable and the process to be undertaken by the system operators when dealing with modification requests to offers for connection to the electricity network. The CER recently published a note confiming that an industry forum will be held in relation to the proposed decision on Modification Requests to Connection Offers-Fees and Processes.
The CER confirms that this forum will be held at the CER offices (The Exchange, Belgard Square North, Tallaght, Dublin 24) on Thursday 15th November at 12pm.
Interested parties are now invited to register for attendance by emailing distribution@cer.ie.
The CER also confirms that the closing date for comments on the proposed decision is now Friday 30th November 2012.

On 27th September 2012 the CER published its proposed decision relating to Modification Requests to Connection Offers - Fees and Processes. The proposed decision is currently open for comment until Friday 19th October 2012.
Following some industry requests for clarification around processing of modification requests, it has now been decided that an industry forum will be held. The time/date of the forum will be decided in the coming days and the CER will publish a note once details are confirmed, requesting that interested parties register for attendance.
In order to prepare for the forum, parties are requested to submit questions regarding any clarifications required, for example relating to how modifications will be processed by the SO’s, the type of work included in given modification categories, and the timelines associated with processing modifications, by next Friday 26th October 2012. Submissions should be made via email to fiona.odonnell@esb.ie or shane.maher@eirgrid.com, and copied to bodonovan@cer.ie.
Meanwhile, CER wishes to advise that the closing date of 19th October 2012 for comments on the proposed decision will, as a result of this forum, be extended. The closing date will now be two weeks after the forum has been held - the CER will confirm this date once the forum date is also confirmed.

The CER has today (3rd November 2011) published a consultation paper inviting interested parties to comment on proposals made by the system operators in relation to the fees charged and the process undertaken by them when dealing with modification requests to offers for connection to the electricity network. The SO paper forms Appendix A of the CER's consultation paper.
This consultation closes on Friday 2nd December 2011 and thereafter the Commission intends to publish a decision paper on the matter.
