Direction to Amend Transmission Connection Offers/Agreements

The Commission has today (25 February 2008) published a direction to EirGrid to amend the terms of a transmission connection offer. A connection charges bond is no longer required at the offer acceptance stage, but rather by the consents issue date. This follows a proposal from EirGrid, supported by the Commission, and should assist those connecting to the transmission system, including renewable generators as part of Gate 2.
