The CER has allowed transmission Capex of €1.45 billion for the PR3 period, 2011 to 2015. This is a significant figure, representing a large increase on PR2 (allowed €524 million). It is important therfore that all aspects of this Capex, from initial approval of Capex to completion of construction are monitored thoroughly by the CER on behalf of the TUoS customer.
The CER has published an Information Note which outlines the steps being taken with regard to PR3 transmission Capex Monitoring. The Transmission Project Charts, which is a Capex monitoring tool to be used by the CER and transmission utilities, is also published.
