Criteria Document

The Criteria Document sets out the detailed rules, procedures and requirements in relation to fulfilling the obligations and functions of the regulatory system by Registered Gas Installers, Gas Safety Supervisory Bodies designated by the CER, BGE Networks and other relevant parties. Registered Gas Installers must agree to be bound to the Criteria Document in order to be registered.

From time to time the CER may make changes to the criteria document.  The current version and all previous versions of the Criteria document can be found below.

The CER has today (27th June 2011) published Version 1.3 of the Criteria Document for the Regulation of Gas Installers in Ireland.

Criteria Document - Version 1.0 - Regulation of Gas Installers with respect to Safety
The Commission has today (25 July 2008) published version 1.0 of the Criteria Document for the regulation of gas installers in Ireland. This document, Criteria Document - Version 1.0, sets out for the regulation of gas installers with regard to safety, under the provisions of the Energy (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2006.
Vision for the Regulation of Gas Installers with Respect to Safety
The Commission has today (18 December 2007) published a decision paper outlining its vision for the regulation of the Gas Installer Industry with respect to safety.
