Consultation on the Proposed National Rollout of Smart Metering

The CER has today (13th January 2012) published the responses received to the consultation " Consultation on the Proposed National Rollout of Electricity and Gas Smart Metering" (CER 11191) which invited feedback from interested parties on the CER's proposed decision to proceed with the National Rollout of Smart Metering to all residential and business consumers (electricity and gas) in Ireland.

The CER has today (15th November 2011) published- Consultation on the Proposed National Rollout of Electricity and Gas Smart Metering (CER 11/191) which invites feedback from interested parties on the CER's proposed decision to proceed with the national rollout of smart metering to all residential and business consumers (electricity and gas) in Ireland.

Respondants are invited to comment on all of the CER proposals outlined in this consultation paper by Tuesday 13th December 2011 (a response template is provided below). Responses to this consultation paper will be used by the CER to inform the final decision relating to a national electricity and gas smart metering rollout in Ireland.

An open information session was held on Wednesday 23rd November in the Clarion IFSC Dublin to clarify any queries relating to the contents of this consultation paper. The presentation given at this information session has been published (on 25th November) below alongside the consultation paper.
