Acting as the Gas Safety Supervisory Body the RGII are solely responsible for the registration of domestic Natural Gas installers. Any person wishing to operate in the gas installer industry must first become a Registered Gas Installer (RGI) by registering with the RGII. It is illegal for any person other than an RGI to carry out gas works as define in S.I. No. 225 of 2009.
